Stock Farm With Pastures And Farming Activities
Good stock farm with well established pastures - currently farming cattle and sheep.
Historically this has always been a cattle farm with good cattle handling facilities and 3 houses, staff accommodation and an extensive working shed.
The farm is a natural plateau being surrounded by forestry. However, a portion of the northern boundary does join the river in one section and a portion of the southern boundary is on the Bos River. The lands are all established to predominantly Kikuyu pastures which can be over-sown with rye grass in the winter months.
The houses include the original A-frame house, a farm style 3 bed cottage with lovely views of the farm and to the mountains beyond and a fairly new 3 bed 2.5 bath Family home. There are workshops and store rooms and the tunnels that are suitable for a variety of cash crops. The tunnels are positioned near the water source for convenience.
The big shed was built specifically for working the sheep and is 1000 sq m in extent. It is very well constructed with a proportion of clear sheeting allowing for natural light.
Water is pumped mainly from the spring and also from one of the boreholes. There are 2 boreholes in total.
There are also a number of earth dams and stock watering points in each camp and a large reservoir built at the highest point of the farm enabling all camp watering points to be gravity fed.
The farm is well fenced and is on a cul-de-sac with only one farmer having access to his timber though this farm which he very rarely uses.
Eskom is connected.
